Strathclyde Loch Sailing Club (SLSC) is a long established (1978) Dinghy Racing and Sailing Club. SLSC is affiliated to the Royal Yachting Association (RYA).
The Club is based at Strathclyde Loch, part of Strathclyde Country Park. Just off the M74 at junction 6. Convenient if travelling from Glasgow. The Park borders Motherwell and Hamilton areas so easy access on local roads as well.
We meet twice a week, Sunday morning, all year round. Wednesday evenings April – September. Wednesday evening sailing will re-start in April 2020.
October to March we have a varied social programme: games, quiz, skills and film nights; see Calendar. Club members sail other days in ad hoc groups.
We can be found in the Dinghy Compound adjacent to the Water Sports Centre. Membership includes access to changing rooms, showers and toilets. SLSC is an open and friendly club. Qualified Club members are eligible to hire Picos, Lasers and Wayfarers at reasonable cost, £5 per person

Saturday 15th August - One of the booms was damaged in the recent storm. North Lanarkshire Council staff are working to repair the boom, and remove the significant amount of debris which came into the Loch.
The Loch is closed until it is safe to re-start water based sports. Therefore, our Sunday and Wednesday programmes are suspended until further notice.
Sailing and access to the compound will be strictly limited to comply with current regulations. To book sailing or access to the compound please contact the Secretary as above
Hopefully we can cent back to a normal program in the next few weeks once things have settled down and we adapt to the new social distancing regulations etc
